The inner calling..

Shatakshi was born in the foothills of the Himalayas. Her father moved to America, to do his phd under NASA when she was just 1. She studied Electrical & Computer Engineering, graduated at the age of 18 and was nominated as one of the top 5 engineers in the nation among several other awards. She started working immediately, managing 2 contracting companies of about 24 people. But she felt a calling, and decided to resign and retire at the age of 20 from the corporate life.

She went back to her roots. The classical dance of a country combines the study of many different fields, music, anthropology, archeology and epistemology of that country, all put together aesthetically. She decided to study Odissi under the Gurukul system and today runs her own international online dance academy where over 400 students have completed their first level training.

We had this beautifully opportunity of crossing paths with her and we couldn't have asked for a better person to resonate with our brand! 

She narrates stories through dance and we through textile and this was a match made in heaven !
