Wash care: How do I care for my Udd product?

Udd garments must be dry cleaned only. The colours on Udd garments don’t fade or bleed unless they get soaking wet. However, our garments have a lot of embellishments like piping and beads, which can get damaged in water.

Our sarees do not need to be starched. Simple dry cleaning and ironing will do the trick.

What fabrics does Udd use?

We use mostly natural handloom fabrics like silk and cotton.

What kind of printing is done on my Udd garment?

All our garments are pieces of art. Every motif you see on Udd textile surfaces is born in the mind of the artist. It is then painstakingly hand drawn by Yuti and the artists who work with Udd.
This art is then thoughtfully converted into contemporary textile pieces on the computer. Once this is done, the art is digitally printed onto fabric using a complex process involving many stages like pre-printing process (padding), printing and finally post-printing process (washing, colour fixing, steaming). Once printed, the textiles are cut and sewn with tender care into finished pieces of wearable art! This entire process is a labour of love and can take anything from 4-6 months.

Where do I wear an Udd saree?

Simply anywhere!

You have the flare to carry it off at formal affairs where you can team it up with bold silver tribal jewellery (we love over-sized jhumkas and a huge kadah). Complete the look with kohl lined eyes, a bindi and a happy smile.

You can dress down an Udd saree by wearing very simple jewellery. Pair it with silver studs and nude lip colour and it’ll see you through a day at the office or a casual lunch outing.

How should I wear an Udd dupatta?

An Udd dupatta is bohemian and bursting with colour. Team it up with a neutral top or kurti in grey, white, nude, or black. Wear it with a bold coloured bottoms, like dhoti pants or palazzos, matching the colour of the dupatta. Udd dupattas are mid-sized so you can also wear one as a stole wrapped around a solid coloured dress

Does Udd customise?
